Allergen Testing

The molecular biology laboratory of CTI can apply PCR technology and ELISA technology toqualitative and quantitative tests of more than 20 kinds of allergens on food, environment and equipment surface, such as soybean, milk, gluten and nuts, so as to help enterprises identify allergen risks and protect consumers' life safety.

Allergens in food may pose a great threat to the health of some consumers who are allergic to certain substances. Therefore, the safety problems caused by allergens in food have attracted increasing attention at home and abroad.

With the ability to test more than 20 allergens, such as peanuts, soybeans, milk, eggs, gluten, nuts, crustaceans, fishes, etc. .
PCR technology specified in national standard can be used for qualitative test.
ELISA can be used for qualitative and quantitative test.

1）Types of allergens tested in food

ELISA	Milk allergens (casein, β-lactoglobulin, whole milk protein), egg allergen (whole egg protein), soybeans, walnuts, gluten
Sample volume: ordinary food 200-300g, precious food 50-100g

2）The ELISA method can be used to test allergens in the equipment cleaning water and the smear swab of the equipment surface.

3）The allergen tests required by Japan, EU, USA and other countries for mandatory labeling.
