Latex pillows bought from outside or e-commerce are not real natural latex pillows in many cases, it was made of synthetic rubber. CTI experts tell us that synthetic rubber may contain styrene which is a suspected carcinogen.

? Service Content

Water-soluble protein, natural latex content and other additives of natural latex pillow were tested by FT-IR(Fourier transform infrared spectrometer), PyGCMS(pyrolysis gas phase mass spectrometer), TGA(thermogravimetric analyzer), EDX(energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer) and UV-VIS(uV-vis spectrophotometer).The results show that the natural latex pillows are made of colloids with appropriate additives, and the content of natural latex and styrene butadiene latex can be calculated by the weight loss coefficient. Proper addition of styrene butadiene latex additives can improve the qualified rate of finished products and improve the physical properties.
