Regulation Updates for August:

1. Malaysia SIRIM announced on July 10, 2023, the continued issuance of the interim approval with 1 year validity for IPv6 cellular devices without WIFI interface or IPv6 equipment over another medium (such as fiber optic, with the exception of Ethernet LAN).

2. The Bureau Telecommunicatie en Post (BT&P) in Curacao has changed its name to the Regulatory Authority of Curaçao (RAC), the certification process is unaffected.

3. Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) now allows the approval of WIFI 6GHz devices.

4. Phillipine NTC published Circular No. 002-07-2024 on July 5, 2024, which amends requirements of HIPERLAN and RLAN Short-Range Devices (SRDs) operating in 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5350 MHz, 5470-5850 MHz, 5925-6425 MHz, and 17.1-17.3 GHz. The main change is addition of WIFI 6E, this regulation is effective July 20, 2024.

5. Syrian Telecommunications & Post Regulatory Authority (SY-TPRA) now allows WIFI 6E (5925-6425 GHz).

6. India TEC issued Notification on July 1, 2024, extending the enforcement date of partial mandatory products to October 1, 2024. Additionally, ILAC test reports can be accepted for partial products until September 30, 2024.

7. The Ministry of Telecom & Information Technology (MTIT) in Palestine has changed its name to The Ministry of Telecommunications and Digital Economy (MTDE).

8. On June 28, 2024, Brazil (ANATEL issued Act 9960, requiring approval of Interactive Screen with the mentioned characteristics and for educational use, for installation in classrooms or similar environment.
