Regulation Updates for January:

1. Reminding on August 2023 CTI Newsletter: ANATEL Act 7971 on IPv6 will be effective January 8, 2024. Also, Brazil ANATEL released new Resolutions 766 and 463/2023.

2. On December 26, 2023, Mexico IFT published new regulation regarding IFT ID and logo such as below. The effective date is September 9, 2024, and IFT certificates issued after this date will be cancelled if products are not marked properly.

3. On December 5, 2023, Argentia ENACOM issued Resolution 2097/2023, updating the testing standard for cellular devices from ENACOM-Q2-61.03 V17.1 to ENACOM-Q2-61.03 V23.1.

4. Malaysia SIRIM announced on December 13, 2023, CoC certificates expired for more than 6 months will be cancelled and not be able to be renewed.

5. Vietnam MIC issued Draft Circular which amends Circular 04/2023/TT-BTTTT on November 27, 2023. Important updates are as below and will take effect April 1.

6. UAE ESMA recently notified that product with barcodes such as UPC/GTIN/EAN must provide it when applying for ECAS and RoHS Certifications, and the barcode will be mentioned on the certificates. However, if the product does not have a barcode or the barcode is different for each unit (such as serial codes), then it is not mandatory to be mentioned.

7. On December 15, 2023, the authority changed its name from National Telecommunications Commission (NATCOM) to National Communications Authority (NatCA).
