New Certification Updates for April:

1. Brazil ANATEL issued Act 2436 regarding cyber security requirement for Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), which effective date is March 10th, 2024.

2. Côte D’Ivoire authority ARTCI now no longer require samples for the type approval process.

3. Thailand Authority NBTC updated the technical standard for products using 57-66 GHz (fixed operation service) from NBTC TS 1031-2559 to NBTC TS 1031-2565. This is already effective.

4. Starting April 1st, 2023, Oman authority TRA requires all imported devices that support voice such as Mobiles, Tablets, Smart watch, etc., for commercial purposes to support VoLTE function.

5. Vanuatu authority TRBR issued a new notice which exempts Bluetooth only product (standard IEEE 802.15.1) from the Local Importer Permit requirement. However, devices that has both Bluetooth and WIFI function will still require a type approval Certificate and permit to be imported.

6. On February 27, 2023, India authority TEC published a notification mandating that all Wi-Fi customer premises equipment (CPE) and IP routers need to undergo security testing starting July 1st, 2023.
