Certification Updates Reminders

Previously mentioned new Vietnam and Brazil regulations will be implemented soon

1. Vietnam’s new Circular will be in force starting July 1st, 2021, products under the old standard will need to be updated.

2. Brazil Authority, ANATEL, will enforce a new Act in June, which affects approval requirements, certificate validities, etc.

New Certification Updates for May

1. Thailand Authority issued a new safety standard TIS 1195-2561 which will be effective August 29th, 2021.

2. Saudi Arabia Authority added to the SASO IECEE(SIRC) product list, and announced the acceptance of test reports under the newest safety standard IEC62368-1:2018.

3. Regarding Russia, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has added a new HS code option for electrical lamps; this is effective already.

4. Korea KC Safety Certification now regulates soft type rechargeable button lithium batteries; the corresponding standard is KC62133-2.

5. South Africa NRCS announced the acceptance of test reports under Safety standard IEC 62368.

6. Bahrain Authorities merged, future type approval for all products will be issued by TRA.
